Nero Upgrades NeroLINUX, First LINUX Software Ever to Offer Layer-Jump Recording Support; New Version Offers Enhanced Features, User Interface Improvements and the Most Powerful and Reliable Burning Engine Available.

NeroLINUX offers the first ever LINUX-based Layer-Jump Recording software, which enables multisession A compact disc capability in which data are recorded in more than one session. Each subsequent recording session can be linked to the previous so that they all appear as one. Each session adds overhead on the disc, because lead-in and lead-out sectors must be recorded each time, which  burning, improved read compatibility and a memory capacity of up to 8.5 GB dual-layer DVD-R (DVD-Recordable) A write-once (read only) DVD disc for both movies and data endorsed by the DVD Forum. In addition, the current NeroLINUX already supports burning data and disc images to CDs/DVDs (ISO9660, UDF (1) (Universal Disk Format) A file system for optical media developed by the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA), www.osta.org, based on the ECMA 167/ISO 13346 standard.  and UDF/ISO9660 Bridge), Bootable CDs/DVDs, Audio CDs with CD text, Mixed Mode CDs, CD-EXTRA, Multisession CD/DVDs and Double Layer DVDs. It is provided as a standard Linux package in RPM or DEB. Supported 32-bit distributions include Red Hat 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, 9.0 and Enterprise Linux 3.0, SuSE 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2, Debian 3.0 and in future 3.1.
