Neon nights.


It's not just the stars that are shining in the sky: Downtown Los Angeles Downtown Los Angeles is the central business district of Los Angeles, California, located close to the geographic center of the metropolitan area. The sprawling, multi-centered megacity is such that its downtown core is often considered just another district like Hollywood or  is all aglow.

On Broadway, the neon signs on the Palace Theater marquee, built in 1911, and the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Theater marquee, built in 1931, have been refurbished and lit again. Neon was also added to the KRKD Tower sign on top of the nearby Arcade building, where Aimee Semple McPherson Noun 1. Aimee Semple McPherson - United States evangelist (born in Canada) noted for her extravagant religious services (1890-1944)
McPherson
 once broadcast her sermons.

 some wonderful visual artistic neon signs in a two-block area, to make a profound effect on those neighborhoods, particularly in the evening," said Julie Silliman, cultural arts planner for the Community Redevelopment Agency, which funded the project. "When you see them it's amazing how much light they give off and the effects that colored light has at night."
