NeoGenomics, Inc. Expands Into New Laboratory Facility.

NAPLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2002

NeoGenomics, Inc. (OTCBB:NOGN) announced today that it has completed the expansion of its operations into a 2,300 square foot laboratory facility in a newly constructed industrial center located in Naples, Florida.

The new facility will accommodate the additional staff and cytogenetics laboratory equipment recently acquired by the Company. The lab is scheduled for inspection by state and national certification agencies at the end of April and will act as the Company's official cytogenetics, molecular biology and genetic research laboratory.

In recent weeks, NeoGenomics has hired a qualified team of professionals who will be instrumental in the Company's mission of creating a state-of-the-art "Genostics" laboratory. Debra Angel, a state and nationally licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist, recently joined the Company to serve as the Lab Manager and Interim Director of Marketing. Mrs. Angel was responsible for previously taking three Columbia Surgery Center laboratories from inception to inspection and subsequent certification. She has already established working relationships with area hospitals and medical organizations as part of the initial marketing of the Company's lab services. Additional staff members include Deborah Zalepa, a nationally certified Cytogenetic Technologist, who will perform all cytogenetic diagnostic testing and analysis, and Dawn Van Hise, a Masters-level Molecular Biologist, who will serve as research associate under the guidance of Dr. Navnit Mitter, the Company's Lab Director.

State-of-the-art laboratory equipment has been installed, calibrated, and verified within the new lab facility, and the Company is performing validation studies to document the quality control and assurance standards and procedures required to receive its certification. The Company anticipates a successful inspection and receipt of its state and national certifications within three to four weeks from the inspection date. Upon the receipt of these certifications, NeoGenomics will perform diagnostic services including chromosome analysis and cancer screens for its identified client base of perinatal, gynecological and oncological clinicians within the Southwest Florida Region.
