Byline: The Register-Guard

LOWELL - Kristina Neet scored 25 points and Lindsey Maher had 13 points and 16 rebounds as Lowell beat Monroe 66-41 in a Trico League girls basketball game Tuesday to improve to 7-0 overall. Kaylee Jenness added 12 points.

Megan Kinkade scored 19 points for the Dragons, who trailed 44-19 at halftime.

Jefferson 88, Crow 20

CROW - The Lions led 40-16 at halftime and then outscored Crow 48-4 in the second half.

Sammy Smets scored nine points and Rebecca Twyerould had six points and seven rebounds to lead the Cougars.

Central Linn 50, Waldport 35

WALDPORT - Rachelle Province scored 22 points to lead the Cobras. Central Linn led 22-13 at halftime.

Stephanie Poff and Kendall Clawson scored eight points apiece, and Jasmine Gutierrez had 10 rebounds for the Irish.

East Linn Christian 45,

Harrisburg 41

LEBANON - Joanna Hendricks scored 15 points to lead the Eagles, who improved to 6-1 for the season.

Morgan Kinley also scored 15 points to lead Harrisburg.

Mountain West League

Triangle Lake 43, Alsea 32

TRIANGLE LAKE - Samantha Elkins scored a game-high 24 points, and Ashley Hites had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals to lead the Lakers.

Haley Hendrix scored 14 points to pace the Wolverines.

Mohawk 68, Falls City 18

FALLS CITY - Cheri Kisor scored 20 points and the Indians defense held the Mountianeers to just seven second-half points, including a one-point third quarter.

Kelsey Bolander added 18 points for the Indians, and Rebecca Dunaway led Falls City with seven.

Mapleton 34, McKenzie 30

BLUE RIVER - Shauna Allen scored 15 points to pace the Sailors, who outscored McKenzie 16-8 in the second half to get the win.

Julie Nastasiuk scored 12 points and April Kelso had 11 to lead the Eagles.

Nonleague

Newport 46, Cottage Grove 40

COTTAGE GROVE - Tara Messner scored 21 points and Katie Torland had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Cubs, who outscored Cottage Grove 30-20 in the second half to overcome a halftime deficit.

Whitney Harris scored 13 points to lead Cottage Grove.

Reedsport 35, Siuslaw 32

REEDSPORT - Ashley Fulps scored on a jumper from the free throw line with 46 seconds left to give the Braves the win.

Krista Wooley had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Sara Kolander added 10 points and eight rebounds to lead the Braves. Kammy Martindale scored eight points to lead the Vikings.

Marist 44, Douglas 28

WINSTON - Ashley Weber and Sarah Long scored 10 points apiece to lead the Spartans.

Marist outscored Douglas 23-10 in the second half.

Jessica King scored a game-high 11 points for the Trojans.

Elmira 50, Stayton 29

ELMIRA - Alicia Cook scored 15 points to lead the Falcons, who improved to 4-2 for the season.

Jeanine Hernandez scored five points to lead the Eagles.

Elkton 45, North Douglas 41

DRAIN - Samantha Russell scored 18 points, including 11 in the first quarter, and Megan Winslow added 11 to lead the Elks, who won despite 29 turnovers.

Laura Black led the Warriors with 11 points. Dawn Davidson and Black had five steals apiece.

Sutherlin 43, North Valley 36

SUTHERLIN - A 14-2 run just before halftime gave the Bulldogs a lead they wouldn't surrender in the second half.

Tiffany George paced Sutherlin with 11 points, and Chrislyn Seybold led North Douglas with 12.

Glide 44, Bandon 34

GLIDE - Crystal Wall scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Wildcats.

Kelsey Stolz had 17 points for the Tigers.

Yoncalla 40,

Umpqua Valley Christian 25

YONCALLA - Shauna Bryant had 12 points and five steals, and Heather Finney and Christy Wingo added 11 and 10 points, respectively, to pace the Eagles.

Jenny Holyfield scored eight points to lead the Monarchs.
