The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Washington, D.C., is reaching out to small businesses to help them protect their intellectual property assets--such as patents--and prevent the theft of their ideas and products. The new USPTO program includes a series of educational seminars for small business around the country and a website, www.stopfakes.gov / smallbusiness, to provide resources for intellectual property protection.
