Nedbank Namibia gets new deputy MD.

Erastus Hoveka has been appointed deputy managing director of Nedbank Namibia. The 38-year-old former chief financial officer of the Development Bank of Namibia is an MBA graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, US. His previous career included a stint as company management accountant at Telecom Namibia, senior manager of corporate finance at Air Namibia, and general manager of finance at the National Housing Enterprise before becoming a founding member of management at the Development Bank of Namibia. He also serves as director and treasurer of the Namibian Red Cross Society and chairman of the audit committee of the Namibian Government Institutions Pension Fund. He is a member of the finance commission of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Additionally, Hoveka is a trustee of the Housing Trust of Namibia and a director of Ongopolo Mine.
