Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is an aerospace and defense conglomerate that is the result of the 1994 purchase of Grumman by Northrop. The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  has moved forward in its helping the US Navy realise its network centric warfighter "Warfighter" is a term used by the United States Department of Defense to refer to any member of the US armed forces or a member of any armed forces under the US flag.
