As one of his staff modeled the latest in armor-plated flak jackets, Mr. Cook noted how important such individual body armor is for our troops currently on the ground in Iraq and elsewhere. He stressed how the decisions we make every day affect our ability to provide these things, and he reinforced in everyone's mind how critically important our jobs in FM really are. It was a fine wrap-up to a solid morning. The afternoon featured 17 workshops on a wide variety of subjects. Presenters from the Office of Budget, Office of Finance, Naval Audit Service, and Headquarters Marine Corp (Fiscal Division) provided attendees with timely and valuable information on a wide variety of topics.
