Navistar Does Not Intend to Negotiate with Bondholders over Cash Tender Offers, Consent Solicitations.WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- Navistar International Navistar International Corporation (Pink Sheets: NAVZ) (formerly International Harvester Company) is a manufacturer of International brand commercial trucks, MaxxForce brand diesel engines, IC Corporation brand school buses, Workhorse brand chassis for motor homes and step vans, Corporation (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :NAV See navigation system and navigation bar. ) announced today that in the spirit of fairness, it is not in negotiations with the ad hoc committee ad hoc committee A committee formed with the purpose of addressing a specific issue or issues, which theoretically is disbanded once its raison d'etre is finished purporting to own a majority of the company's 6 1/4 percent senior notes, nor does it intend to enter into negotiations with any bondholders concerning the cash tender offers and consent solicitations Consent Solicitation A solicitation by one party to the stakeholders of a particular security for the consent of a material change. Notes: Should the majority of stakeholders provide valid consent prior to the consent expiry date, the issuer may then follow through with it launched on February 21, 2006. The consent solicitations are scheduled to expire today, as of 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Holders who validly tender their notes and do not withdraw on or prior to that time will be entitled to receive the total consideration offered by the company in the tender offers and consent solicitations.
