In November 2003, Congress granted the Department authority to establish a new civilian human resources management system to better support its critical national security mission. The National Security Personnel System (NSPS) is the resulting system to implement this authority. A new NSPS video "NSPS: Towards a Mission-Centered Workforce" explains the purpose of NSPS and advantages and is available at <http://www.cpms.osd.mil/nsps/video.html>.

This Web site provides the latest information on BRAC and the variety of transition assistance programs offered by the Department of Defense.
