The spirit of New Orleans hasn't changed, despite the devastation the city faced after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. However, negative news reports have kept "The Big Easy" in the national spotlight. According to the City of New Orleans, the usual hotspots for tourism are among the safest regions in the city. But even in the Central Business District and the famous French Quarter--the places where DAV See WebDAV. National Convention visitors will likely spend much of their free time--we offer some key tips to enhance safety awareness. All visitors are encouraged to use traveler's checks or credit cards instead of cash whenever possible. It makes sense also to keep your wallet or purse close and under your direct control at all times. In any major city, it's important to observe your surroundings and secure your valuables--a purse hanging from the back of a chair or resting on the floor could be an easy target.
