National Pork Board, Des Moines, Iowa, selects Ag Technologies International, a division of Adayana, Minneapolis, to build and launch a series of interactive educational training courses for pork producers and pork production employees. The initial agreement calls for 14 training courses, available on CD-ROM and the Web. In the future, Ag Technologies and the National Pork Board will develop an additional six to eight distance learning courses each year. "It's unique to have a company such as Ag Technologies that has a background in distance learning but also understands our industry, our clientele and our constituents," says Dr. David Meissinger, assistant vice president of education services for National Pork Board. The courses are being underwritten by the Pork Checkoff.
