VIP Program Provides Cost-Effective Solution to Administrative Support

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- National Planning Holdings, Inc. (NPH(SM)), the nation's seventh-largest broker-dealer network1, has begun to roll out its Virtual Interoffice Platform (VIP) to registered representatives at INVEST Financial Corporation([R]). The program is designed to significantly reduce the time and expense associated with hiring and managing an in-house assistant by allowing advisors to opt for a fully licensed, professionally trained and management-supervised Virtual Sales Assistant (VSA).

The Virtual Interoffice Platform offers substantial cost savings for representatives by eliminating many of the expenses associated with hiring an in-house assistant, such as office equipment and employee benefit programs. The VIP also saves the representative considerable time and effort by handling the entire interview process, providing intensive initial training and ongoing supervision, and ensuring quality control and service standards.

"I've been extremely impressed with how proactive my virtual assistant has been in assisting my clients and handling tasks that would normally consume a great deal of my time," said Matthew Rapp, part of the beta test group and a registered representative with INVEST Financial Corporation, one of the four firms in the NPH network. As an employee of the broker-dealer home office, the Virtual Sales Assistant has immediate access to home office staff and resources, as well as training on NPH's latest initiatives, products and services. The VSA implements a standardized, efficient, compliance-approved system for workflow management, problem resolution and books and records maintenance, which reduces errors and follow-up. NPH will provide a back-up VSA when the representative's dedicated assistant is out of the office, and will also provide a replacement if the VSA terminates employment, thus eliminating disruption to the advisor's business due to employee absences and turnover.
