National Parks boost the economy.


A study released by the Interior Department and made public by the Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility is a national alliance of local state and federal resource professionals.  System generated $10.3 billion in revenue and 236,000 jobs last year. These findings include money made by businesses near national park sites.

 was visited third most often with 10.8 million visitors.

The Interior Department says that the findings indicate that national parks return $5 for every dollar invested.
