National Fitness Award.

The NATIONAL Physical Fitness Award program recognizes youth who score in the top 50 percent of kids in the country in the following five tests. Earn the award by reaching the scores listed below.

One-Mile Run

Can you complete a mile run within the official time? It takes practice.

V-Sit Reach

Test your flexibility! Sit on the floor with your heels eight to twelve inches apart, and then lean forward with your legs straight to see how far beyond your heels you can touch.

Shuttle Run

Run a distance of 30 feet; pick up a small block of wood, and bring it back to the starting line. Repeat the run, and bring back a second block of wood. Your fastest time will be recorded.
