National Expert on OCD to Speak in San Antonio as Part of the Mind Science Foundation's `Distinguished Speakers Series'.

Dr. Schwartz's successful work with OCD patients has drawn national attention and has been featured in the LA TIMES, Oprah Winfrey Show, WNBC WNBC Wearing Nothing But Chainmail  and CSPAN CSPAN Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network .

He has demonstrated through the use of PET scans how mindfulness training and mental force can change the physical functioning of our brains. Dr. Schwartz is author or co-author of over 100 scientific papers in the areas of neurology and psychiatry.

Dr. Schwartz is also the author of "Dear Patrick -- Letters to a Young Man: Philosophical Guidance in an Age of Cynicism."

The Mind Science lecture is titled "The Power of Mental Force" and will be held on Monday, September 13, 2004, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Chapman Center, Trinity University Campus, San Antonio, Texas.

Admission is $15 adults, $5 for students and the lecture is free for Mind Science Foundation members.
