National Ethics Committee Meets. (The American Camping Association[R]).


The National Ethics Committee ethics committee A multidisciplinary hospital body composed of a broad spectrum of personnel–eg, physicians, nurses, social workers, priests, and others, which addresses the moral and ethical issues within the hospital. See DNR, Institutional review board.  met in October to review the complaints filed against ACA-accredited camps in the past year. Complaints lodged against camps are confidential in nature and are released only to the camp mentioned in the complaint.

However, it can be said that the largest number of complaints involved issues related to camper health and safety and the immediate notification of parents when there was a question related to either health of the child or his/her adjustment to the camp experience.

Once the committee is able to review all complaints for the calendar year, further information of a training nature will be shared with all ACA ACA - Application Control Architecture  members. The ACA Code of Ethics Code of Ethics can refer to:
  • Ethical code, a code of professional responsibility, noting what behaviors are "ethical".
  • Code of Ethics (band), a 90's Christian New Wave/Pop band
, agreed to when joining ACA, governs each member's behavior.

New Committee Member Appointed

Kelly Privett, Director of Camp Joan Mier in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  and Section Complaint Resolution Chair, has joined the National Ethics Committee effective this fall. She joins David Silverstein, Chair, Barry Royce, Richard Merz, and Stan White Stan White may refer to:
  • Stan White (quarterback), an Auburn University and New York Giants quarterback.
  • Stan White (linebacker), an Ohio State University and Baltimore Colts linebacker.
  • Stan White, Jr., an Ohio State University fullback and the son of the linebacker.
. Ban Dworken is the ACA Board Liaison to this committee.
