National Alfalfa and Forage Alliance (NAFA).The National Alfalfa alfalfa (ălfăl`fə) or lucern (l and Forage Alliance (NAFA NAFA - Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts NAFA - National Air Filtration Association NAFA - National Association of Fleet Administrators NAFA - National Association of Forensic Accountants NAFA - Native American Flute Association NAFA - Nordic Association For Andrology NAFA - North American Falconers Association NAFA - North American Flyball Association) was officially formed this spring at a meeting of stakeholders held in Denver, CO. The new organization, a hybrid of the existing National Alfalfa Alliance (NAA) and other industry stakeholders, was formed to significantly enhance and broaden what the NAA was doing. A primary tenet of the new organization is that it is an "umbrella" organization. NAFA is administered by Co-Executive Directors Beth Nelson of Beth C.W. Nelson & Associates, Inc. in St. Paul, MN--whose primary focus will be legislative/regulatory matters and Rod Christensen of Ag Management, Inc. in Kennewick Kennewick (kĕn`əwĭk), city (1990 pop. 42,155), Benton co., SE Wash., on the Columbia River near the influx of the Snake River, in an irrigated farm and vineyard region; inc. 1904. With Richland and Pasco, it is part of a tricity regional economic unit., WA, whose focus will be all other administrative matters. Membership is available to any U.S. individual, association, firm, or corporation actively engaged in growing, producing, handling, processing, or purchasing alfalfa/forage hay or haylage, or alfalfa seed in the United States or in supplying goods or commercial services to producers of alfalfa/forage hay or haylage, or alfalfa seed in the United States. |
