National 4-H Council.The National 4-H Council Board of Trustees gathers following its annual meeting held at its facilities in suburban Washington, D.C. Two days before their meeting, President and First Lady Bush hosted a conference at the 4-H Center to discuss school violence and to announce new initiatives to curb it. During the meeting, the group initiated the newly renovated Luke M. Schruben Board Room Board room A room at a brokerage firm where its clients can watch an electronic board displaying stock prices and transactions. Also refers to the room where Board of Directors meetings take place. (inset). The focus of the renovations is a new state-of-the-art board table wired with microphones with sound reinforcement and personal computer access consoles that allow members and staff to play audio, video and display Web sites from the table. The conference room is available for other organizations' use for their D.C.-area meetings. 4-H is the largest youth organization in the U.S. |
