Leading French Institution Uses Market-Leading Content Management

Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq:VIGN) today announced that Natexis Banques Populaires, a leading French financial institution, has selected Vignette(R) V6 Content Suite and Vignette(R) V6 Multisite Content Manager (VMCM) as a common platform to power and deliver its global Web initiatives across multichannel devices.

The company's new Web initiative aims to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing better access to banking information, improved online transactions and an increased level of personalization to deliver relevant information to the individual customer. The Web solution also had to be very interactive and accessible from multichannel devices such as PDAs and WAP-enabled devices.

The bank selected Vignette V6 for its scalability and integration capabilities, together with its flexibility in responding to current and future business needs. By leveraging Vignette's open standards environment, which includes support for J2EE and XML, Natexis Banques Populaires will be able to grow its Web presence to match its ongoing business needs. In addition, the solution will enable the bank to reduce its operating costs and time to implementation.

Vignette V6 also will enable the bank's content owners to update the Web sites themselves using familiar tools. By eliminating the need for IT professionals to manage and maintain the Web site content, the bank will be able to respond more quickly and efficiently with new offerings and more-targeted marketing to meet customer needs, as well as meet its objectives to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.

Natexis Banques Populaires will leverage Vignette functionality to personalize dynamic content for its customers to develop more-effective online relationships. In addition, the Vignette solution will enable the bank to maintain a standard look and feel across its Web sites.

VMCM is a comprehensive content management application designed to quickly deploy, manage and integrate Web initiatives throughout the enterprise, including enterprise portals for employees, partners and customers; corporate Web sites; and e-commerce applications. VMCM simplifies the process of creating and maintaining multiple Web sites and portals with shared content to help ensure the consistency, accuracy and quality of content deployed throughout the enterprise.
