Nashville's Cartee Day Entertainment Introduces Music City Stars, A Competition for the Vocalist, Songwriter and Musician.

Nashville's award winning studio Cartee Day Entertainment is pleased to present Music City Stars, a regional talent search and competition. The competition will invite aspiring as·pire

1. To have a great ambition or ultimate goal; desire strongly: aspired to stardom.

 artists, musicians and songwriters from all genres of music to demonstrate their talents in preliminary contests scheduled to be held in ten states (Alabama Alabama, indigenous people of North America

Songwriter:

Musicians may perform their song of choice (original or cover) with our without accompaniment. The competition is open to strings, woodwinds, drums, guitar and brass instruments brass instrument

There are two age categories for the competition: Ages 5-15 and Ages 15 & over.

Music City Stars' finalists will have the opportunity to perform in front of some of the music industry's top producers and executives who will judge the event.

The grand prize awarded in each category will be five days of studio time at Cartee Day Studios in Nashville with award-winning producer Blake Mevis. Mevis has been in the music business for nearly 30 years. As a producer, Mevis has a list of credits and successes that boasts 22 No. 1 singles, 6 gold records and 6 platinum records. He's produced Country music greats including Keith Whitley, Charley Pride and George Strait George Harvey Strait, (born May 18, 1952), is an American country music singer. The native Texan is known for his honky tonk country western sound. Strait is sometimes referred to as the "King of Country" and some critics call Strait a living legend (Bego, 2001).  to name only a few.

The material to be recorded shall be the original music as written by the winner in the Songwriter category. The winner in the Vocal Performer and Musician category will record. The end result will be a professionally produced product that could result in a recording contract for any one of the winners.
