Nasco-Op. (People).Howard Glick of Tri-State Iron & Metal, Texarkana, Ark., has been elected chairman of Nasco-Op by the cooperative's members at its annual meeting. Arnold Gachman, Paul Brenner and Ed Arnold Jr. have also been elected as officers of Nasco-Op, which is based in New Philadelphia, Ohio New Philadelphia is a city in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States, 71 miles south of Cleveland on the Tuscarawas River. It was first incorporated in 1808. Coal and clay are found in the vicinity. . In his address, Glick outlined his goal of making effective use of cooperative purchasing. "The purpose of Nasco-Op is to coordinate the collective purchasing power of the recycling industry to provide members superior value on products and services" noted Glick. Glick added that the economic power of a cooperative is realized when independent businesses find greater purchasing strength in numbers.
