Nano silver powder.

Ferro Corporation has formulated Nano Silver 7000-95, a new customized silver powder that can enable broader commercialization of advanced technologies such as radio frequency identification See RFID.  (RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna. ), flexible displays, and printed flexible circuits. Nano Silver 7000-95 is an enabling material for fine-line flexible circuits, which allow product designers more versatility and greater freedom to incorporate electronics into broader applications than previously possible with rigid silicon structures. The particle synthesis of the nano silver material is controlled via chemical precipitation precipitation, in chemistry

, which allows the surface chemistry of the powder to be tailored to match users' needs for specific ink systems. Reportedly, this produces conductive inks Conductive ink is an ink that is conductive, allowing a circuit to be drawn or printed on a variety of materials including paper. It usually contains powdered silver and carbon.

, pastes, and adhesives with controlled rheology and viscosity for finer, sharper line definition and lower deposition weight. For additional details: 908.226.2032 or www.ferro.com.
