), one of the country's largest natural gas distribution companies, said it has named to its board of directors Nancy K. Quinn, a co-founder of Hanover Capital, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

. Quinn's addition increases Atmos Energy's board from 11 to 12 directors.

Quinn has been a principal of Hanover Capital since 1996. The privately owned firm provides financial and strategic counsel primarily to the energy, utility and natural resources industries.

Previously, Quinn served as a limited partner and executive director of The Beacon Group, LP, working on private equity opportunities, mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry and monetization strategies for energy portfolio companies. The Beacon Group was acquired by JP Morgan Chase.

She also worked for 14 years for Kidder, Peabody & Co. and PaineWebber Incorporated after it acquired Kidder. At Kidder, she was co-head of energy and natural resources investment banking and the head of Southwest regional banking in Houston. Subsequently, she became co-head of PaineWebber's energy and natural resources group in New York.
