* Maureen Breakiron-Evans (Philadelphia Chapter) was hired as CFO for Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm that helps organizations around the world optimize performance through effective people, risk and financial management.

* John W. Burns (Boston Chapter) has been named Vice President/ Finance and CFO for the Massachusetts Medical Society, in Waltham, Mass. The Massachusetts Medical Society is the statewide professional association of physicians and publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine.

* David Cooper (Silicon Valley Chapter) was named CFO of Art.com, the world's largest online retailer of art imagery, allowing customers to decorate their personal spaces. Based in Emeryville, Calif., Art.com has major distribution centers in Lockbourne, Ohio and Venray, Holland.

* Roger A. Cregg (Detroit Chapter) was appointed to the Board of Directors for Comerica Inc., and will serve on the board's Audit Committee, Enterprise Risk Committee and Qualified Legal Compliance Committee. Cregg is Executive Vice President and CFO of Pulte Homes Inc., a national homebuilder.

* Robert Dickson (Pittsburgh Chapter) has been selected as one of a team of three to manage Pittsburgh Early Growth Partners LP, a new investment source for early-stage technology companies. Dickson is CFO for Cardiac Assist Inc.

* Terrence Geremski (Central Philadelphia Chapter) was named to the Board of Directors of Austin, Texas-based ArthroCare Corp., and will serve as a member of the Audit Committee. Geremski recently retired as Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Carpenter Technology Corp.

* Charles Holley (Dallas Chapter) was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart operates retail discount stores around the globe. Holley is a member of FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting and also Vice Chair of the Finance Committee for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).

* Paula J. Norbom (Twin Cities Chapter) was hired as Vice President, Finance and Operations for ThreeWire Inc. ThreeWire, in Eden Prairie, Minn., is a direct-to-patient market services firm.

* David S. Noymer (Boston Chapter) was appointed to the newly-created position of Vice President of Finance and Administration at Accounting Management Solutions Inc. AMS, of Waltham, Mass., is a provider of outsourced accounting, financial management and recruiting services to emerging companies and public, private and nonprofit organizations throughout New England.

* John M. Radak (San Diego Chapter) was named CFO of Quidel Corp. in San Diego. Quidel is a provider of rapid point-of-care (POC) diagnostic tests under the brand name of QuickVue[R].

* Charles A. Rowland Jr., CPA (New Jersey Chapter), was appointed Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. Based in Chadds Ford, Pa., Endo is a specialty pharmaceutical company with market leadership in pain-management products.

* James Schneider (Austin Chapter) joined Frontier Bancshares Inc., an Austin, Texas-based bank holding company, as chairman. Schneider also serves on the Boards of Directors for Lockheed Martin Corp., Gap Inc. and General Communications Inc.
