* ANDY KAPLAN (Westchester/Connecticut Chapter) has joined DonorsChoose as CFO. DonorsChoose, in New York City, allows individuals to fund projects that provide students with resources that the public schools often lack.

* CHARLES D. MCLANE JR. (Pittsburgh Chapter) was selected CFO of Alcoa, headquartered in Pittsburgh. Alcoa is a producer and manager of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina facilities. McLane serves on FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting (CCR).

* ROBERT J. NIKI (Silicon Valley Chapter) was named CFO of Verigy Ltd., the semiconductor test spin-off of Agilent Technologies Inc., in Cupertino, Calif. Verigy is a maker of advanced test systems for flash memory and system-on-chip that are used by semiconductor companies worldwide.

JAMES S. SCIBETTA was named CFO of Bioenvision Inc., in New York. Bioenvision is a developer, distributor and marketer of products to treat cancer.

* STEPHEN SMITH (Northeast Ohio) was promoted to Senior Vice President and CFO of American Greetings Corp., in Cleveland, the world's largest publicly owned creator, manufacturer and distributor of social expression products.
