* DR. RAJ AGGARWAL (Northeast Ohio Chapter) has been appointed Dean of the College of Business Administration and the Frank C. Sullivan Professor of International Business and Finance at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF).

* MIKE BARDELL (Vancouver Chapter) was named CFO for Redcorp Ventures Ltd., a Vancouver, B.C.-based mineral exploration and development company.

PATRICK DEVINE, CPA, was promoted to Vice President, Finance for First Fleet Corp. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. First Fleet is a subsidiary of PHH FirstFleet, which combines the truck expertise and capabilities of PHH Arval to support the trucking and transportation industry.

* ANDREW P. KAPLAN (Connecticut/Westchester Chapter) was elected to the Board of Directors of WiderThan Co. of Seoul, South Korea. Kaplan is presently Executive Vice President and CFO of Audible Inc. in Westport, Conn.

* NOEL F. KNOBLOCH (St. Louis Chapter) was named CFO for Amerinet in St. Louis. Amerinet is a U.S. health care group-purchasing organization that partners with members to improve their operating margins.

* STEPHEN J. LETWIN (Houston Chapter) has joined the Board of Directors of Decision Dynamics Technology Ltd. Letwin is Executive Vice President at Enbridge Inc. in Houston.

RICHARD P. MCKENNEY was named Executive Vice President and CFO of Sun Life Financial Inc. in Toronto.

JOSE I. ORTEGA was appointed Vice President of Finance and CFO of restaurant-operator Benihana Inc., in Miami.

* JAMES F. PARSLOW (Boston Chapter) was appointed CFO and Treasurer of World Energy Solutions in Worcester, Mass. World Energy creates and operates intelligent energy exchange that optimizes the trading of physical commodities, financial instruments and green credits.

* MIKE ROWE, CPA, CMA, CFM (Southern Carolinas Chapter), was named Vice President of Finance/CFO for Carolina Handling in Charlotte, N.C. Carolina Handling is a material handling distributor for Raymond Corp. and other material handling equipment; it operates in six states in the Southeast.

* KATHERINE SCHERPING (Colorado Chapter) was awarded the 2006 Jean Yancey Award for Outstanding Women in Business by the Denver Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Scherping is CFO for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc.

JOSEPH P. SLATTERY was named CFO of Digene Corp., a Gaithersburg, Md., molecular diagnostic-testing company.

* WILLIAM D. SNIDER (Colorado Chapter) was appointed to the Board of Directors for Matrix Bancorp Inc. in Denver. Snider is CFO of Matrix Bancorp.

* THOMAS VIRGIN, CPA (Washington State Chapter), was appointed to the Board of Directors of Talyst, a pharmacy-technology company. Virgin is currently Seattle-based Talyst's Vice President of Finance and CFO and will continue in those roles.
