Here are the highlights from the Featured Expert column:

Aventis (NYSE:AVE) recently made a deal with Regeneron (NASDAQ:REGN) to develop the biotech company's experimental cancer therapy, VEGF VEGF vascular endothelial growth factor.  Trap, and it was a very nice deal for Regeneron. Now all we have to do is wait for the Phase II clinical data. Along with that announcement, the company decided to pursue another Axokine study in obese o·bese

type 2 diabetic patients, which Nadine Wong believes will decide the true worth of this therapy. She still likes Regeneron, but since its share price has made a nice move with the market, it doesn't hurt to take profits.

Meanwhile, Trimeris' (NASDAQ:TRMS) share price is sinking, as Wall Street frets over the sales of the AIDS drug Fuzeon and thinks that the drug isn't going to make the mark. In her September issue, Wong discussed Fuzeon's outlook and stands by her opinion that the drug will prove its worth. However, Wall Street is going to re-adjust its sales projections for Fuzeon. Eventually, Trimeris' share price will bottom out, which will provide a decent entry point for investors.

In regards to the overall market, Wong continues to be upbeat. Undoubtedly, September's sentiment will influence investors to take profits. At the same time, she'll take advantage of the conditions, and she'll be adding some new names to her BioPortfolio.

Don't stop here! The biotechnology space is always changing and evolving, and Nadine Wong can keep you where the profits are with her in-depth analysis by clicking: http://featuredexpert3bw.zacks.com/
