NYU hospitality conference to be held June 1-3.


The longest-running and most prominent event of the global hospitality industry, the New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference hosted by the Preston Robert Tisch Preston Robert "Bob" Tisch (April 29, 1926 – November 15, 2005) was the chairman, and, with his brother Laurence, part owner of the Loews Corporation. Tisch was born in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn in 1926.  Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management, will hold its 25th annual conference June 1-3 at the New York Marriott Marquis New York Marriott Marquis Times Square at 1531-1549 Broadway opened in 1985 and was designed by architect John Portman. It is located in the heart of Times Square at Broadway and 45th Street.  Hotel, Associate Dean Lalia Rach announced today. The Tisch Center is part of NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

Among the expected keynote speakers at this year's conference are Rudolph W. Giuliani, chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Giuliani Partners and the former Mayor of New York City The Mayor of New York City is the head of the executive branch of the Government of New York City. The office administers all city services, public property, police and fire protection, most public agencies, and enforces all city and state laws within the city. , and Katie Couric, co-anchor of NBC's "Today Show."

Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman & chief executive officer, Loews Hotels and Office of the President, Loews Corporation, is the conference chair and will deliver opening remarks. "The 25th Annual International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference is the premier event of the global hospitality industry. It brings together industry leaders and prominent keynote speakers to discuss the current challenges facing the hospitality industry and to provide insight into achieving future success," Tisch said.

The opening panel, titled "The CEOs Check In", features participation by Stephen F. Bollenbach, president & chief executive officer, Hilton Hotels Corporation Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE: HLT) is one of the leading global hospitality companies. As of April 2007 there are 2,645 hotels and 485,000 rooms employing 105,000 people in more than 80 countries. ; J. W. Marriott, Jr., chairman & chief executive officer, Marriott International, Inc.; Marilyn Carlson Nelson, chairman & chief executive officer, Carlson Companies; and Henry R. Silverman, chairman, president & chief executive officer, Cendant Corporation.

"The 25th annual conference will bring together at one place and time the leading executives from the international hospitality industry. They will address all segments of the business, from hotel investing to design and technology," Dean Rach said. "We are proud to host this event, which is attended by more CEOs, CFOs and COOs than any other within the industry." David F. Finney, Dean of NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, will present the official welcome.
