NYSBA installs new president.

The New York State Builders Association recently installed John Hofelich as President of the Association for 2005.

Hofelich, owner of J.C.H. Construction, Wynantskill, NY and member of the Capital Region Builders and Remodelers (CRBRA) will lead the 3,600 member statewide organization.

In addition to serving as a NYSBA Senior Officer for the past six years, Hofelich is past president of the Albany Area Builders Association (currently known as CRBRA) and a past chairman and a founding member of CRBRA's Remodelers Council. Additionally, he serves on New York State's Existing Building Code Technical Subcommittee, NYSBA's Building Code Committee and has been designated as a certified Energy Specialist from the Building Performance Institute.

"John brings a unique background to NYSBA leadership, having built both new homes and remodeled existing ones." stated Philip LaRocque, NYSBA Executive Vice President. "As a sole proprietor, he illustrates the fact that you do not have to own a big business to lead the industry. I look forward to President Hofelich's leadership in 2005."

The New York State Builders Association (NYSBA) is a not-for-profit trade association comprised of 17 local affiliates across the state. Chartered in 1950, NYSBA represents 3,600 builder, remodeler, developer, and associate member firms, ensuring that their interests are represented at the State level.

In addition, NYSBA serves as a clearinghouse of information for members and provides tangible benefit programs, including but not limited to, several insurance programs that enhance the businesses and lives of members and their employees.
