NYC Partnership, Chamber of Commerce to be honored by Housing Conferences.

 Partnership and Chamber of Commerce will receive the Distinguished Public Service Award of the New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Housing Conference and National Housing Conference at their 26th annual awards luncheon on Tuesday, December 14th at the Sheraton New York Hotel.

This luncheon is the largest affordable housing event in New York, expecting more than 1,400 attendees from the real estate, banking, insurance, investment banking, development, architecture, law, government and not-for-profit sectors.

The awards were announced by Clara Fox and John Kelley

, co-chairs of the New York Housing Conference, and Monica Sussman, president of the National Housing Conference. The Committee for the luncheon is headed by Robert Lehrman, chairman of Resheff Inc. and former president of the Community Bankers Association of New York State.

Other honorees, who have played a key role in New York community and housing development efforts, will be: Robert Kiley, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Elizabeth McCaul, Acting Superintendent of the New York State Banking Department, will receive a Special Recognition Award.

The keynote speaker at this year's luncheon will be Franklin D. Raines, chairman and CEO of Fannie Mae Fannie Mae: see Federal National Mortgage Association. .

The Distinguished Public Service Award is in recognition of the NYC Partnership's contributions to the creation of thousands of jobs, continued promotion of education and the development of homeownership programs in New York City.

The New York Housing Conference represents the city's major non-profit and private affordable housing organizations. Founded in 1973, the Conference develops and advocates for housing policies and programs on the state and local levels. The National Housing Conference, founded in 1931, plays a similar role on the national level. The organizations include state and local officials, builders, bankers, builders, investors, residents and other community leaders.
