president Richard Anderson sent a letter to the Federal Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management complaining about Trump's testimony before the committee earlier this year. During the hearing on the planned expansion of the United Nation's headquarters in Manhattan, Trump labeled city builders incompetent and corrupts.

In a letter to the government body dated October 21, Anderson said the comments showed disrespect toward the very people who have helped the developer build his brand.

"[Trump's] comments are grossly irresponsible and defamatory to the extraordinary firms that build and manage the intricate and iconic structures synonymous with New York City New York City: see New York, city.

," Anderson stated in the letter.

In a separate letter sent to Trump earlier this year, Anderson invited the developer to explain his comments to the Building Congress board of directors, of which he is a member.

"We read the news accounts of your testimony, which included charges of incompetence and corruption in the building industry, with dismay and surprise, given that your own portfolio of impressive Manhattan skyscrapers was made possible by the hard work and ingenuity of the very same people you reportedly sought to denigrate den·i·grate

The Building Congress letter to the Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management coincided with Trump's victory in court of a lawsuit against a Mount Vernon contractor who was hired to help in the construction of the Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.

Last week, a Westchester County Judge awarded Trump more than $4 million on the grounds that Columbus Construction Corporation left the project without "just cause and constituted a material breach of contract."

Trump has claimed that the contractor overcharged him for unfinished work.
