NY transportation agency upgrades security network.

The company will be responsible for the development and deployment of a critical infrastructure protection Department of Defense (DOD) program to identify and protect assets critical to the Defense Transportation System. Loss of a critical asset would result in failure to support the mission of a combatant commander.  system that integrates command, communications and control capabilities across MTA facilities.

The three-year contract is valued at $212 million. It includes maintenance options that could extend the program through September 2013.

Lockheed will lead a team of contractors that includes Arinc Incorporated, Slattery Skanska USA Civil Inc., Systra Engineering, Intergraph Corporation, Cubic Corporation and Lend Systems International Inc.
