NY chapter to discuss the chemistry of wine.


* Dr. J. Ernest Simpson, director of cooperative education at California State Polytechnic University, will be the guest speaker at the New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 chapter December meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Dec. 8 at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange, NJ.

Dr. Simpson's research interests and publications are in the areas of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, Carbon-13 labeled compounds and phenolic phe·no·lic

The subject of Dr. Simpson's talk will be "The chemistry of wine." The talk will include an overview of wine, wine making and detailed descriptions of the chemical composition of grapes and wine. The talk will also cover laboratory methods for analysis of grapes and wines, sensory and organoleptic or·gan·o·lep·tic
