NW Publishing releases first issue of "Wild Catch".


In another launch related to the food category, NW Publishing (Seattle Seattle (sēăt`əl), city (1990 pop. 516,259), seat of King co., W Wash., built on seven hills, between Elliott Bay of Puget Sound and Lake Washington; inc. 1869. , WA) has begun the publication of"Wild Catch," a magazine that focuses on the selling, buying, marketing and preparation of wild catch seafood seafood

Edible aquatic animals excluding mammals, but including both freshwater and ocean creatures. Seafood includes bony and cartilaginous fishes, crustaceans, mollusks, edible jellyfish, sea turtles, frogs, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers.

 publication will begin with the February/March 2006 issue. The title has a controlled circulation of 8000 commercial fisherman, restaurant/food service executives, seafood processors, store buyers and suppliers, distributors, brokers and wholesalers.

The magazine covers the non-farmed seafood industry and has three main missions: to connect seafood sellers and buyers; to cover the seafood supply chain of people, services, products and suppliers; and, to educate readers on such topics as wild species development, harvesting, seafood business, marketing trends, packaging and value-added strategies.

It includes case studies of retail and wholesale selling of wild catch products, information on higher returns, business news and features, analysis of seafood business trends, profiles of wild catch retailers, consumer projections, seafood safety, distribution logistics, processing and technology, sourcing information, and data on new and pending regulations and legislation.

NW Publishing also produces "Marine Digest Digest: see Corpus Juris Civilis.
