NVIDIA Co-founder Named Entrepreneur of the Year; NVIDIA's Chief Technology Officer Honored by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq:NVDA) the world's leading supplier of performance 3D graphics processors, reported today that Curtis R. Priem, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder, has been named the recipient of the 2000 William F. Glaser '53 Rensselaer Entrepreneur of the Year. Mr. Priem has been NVIDIA's chief technical officer since the company's inception in April 1993.

Prior to NVIDIA, Mr. Priem worked at Sun Microsystems where he architected the GX graphics products, including the world's first single chip GUI accelerator. He also worked at Vermont Microsystems, Inc. where he architected the industry's first graphics processor, IBM'S Professional Graphics Adapter. Mr. Priem has authored 88 patents, all of which relate to graphics and I/O.

This Rensselaer Entrepreneur award honors Rensselaer alumni and others who are successful entrepreneurs and role models for Rensselaer students. Past winners have included William Mow, founder of Bugle Boy Industries, and Warren Bruggeman , former vice president and general manager of GE's Nuclear Business Operations.
