NVIDIA Awards High I.Q. 'Best-of-class' to RAGE Software.

) today announced that Expendable from RAGE Software Rage Software Limited or Rage Games Limited was a British video game developer. Formed in 1992, its games were marked by an emphasis on graphical effects with arcade gameplay.

The company closed in January, 2003.
 PLC was chosen as the premiere High I.Q. feature title for spring 1999.

The High I.Q. program, which is co-sponsored by PC Gamer PC Gamer is a magazine founded in 1993 devoted to PC gaming and published monthly by Future Publishing. The magazine features news on developments in the video game industry, previews of new games, and reviews of the latest popular PC games, along with other features  and Diamond Multimedia, is the result of the "Raise Your I.Q." developer program launched in the first half of 1998. This program was developed to assist developers in raising the standards for image quality and multitexturing effects in their upcoming software titles. The High I.Q. titles are identified on and can also be purchased at the NVIDIA software store found on NVIDIA's Web site: http://www.nvidia.com. In addition to providing users with access to the hottest titles, the High I.Q. program rewards and promotes software developers that provide the best examples of the improved image quality now possible with today's RIVA TNT-based platforms.

Each quarter, a new list of the hottest High I.Q. titles will be evaluated and chosen by NVIDIA. All of these titles use standard APIs and take advantage of NVIDIA's key product features, such as support for multi-texturing, AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) A high-speed 32-bit port from Intel for attaching a display adapter to a PC. It provides a direct connection between the card and memory, and only one AGP slot is on the motherboard.  Texturing, 32-bit color, 32-bit Z-buffer and the ability to achieve screen resolutions up to 1600x1200. The High I.Q. program is designed to recognize the efforts of the industry's best 3D software companies and promote their products to the end-users.

NVIDIA Processors

The RIVA family of 3D/2D processors, the RIVA TNT The RIVA TNT, codenamed NV4, is a 2D, video, and 3D graphics accelerator chip for PCs that was manufactured by NVIDIA.
