NURON BRINGS PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC TO MAINSTREAM.

Nuron LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
has created a new class of technology, which incorporates a reprogrammable logic coprocessor coprocessor

Additional processor used in some personal computers to perform specialized tasks such as extensive arithmetic calculations or processing of graphical displays.
into the memory slot of any standard server or workstation, delivering fast and versatile coprocessor capability.

The Nuron Adaptive Computing Board (AcB), which is a smart memory module, is a new class of computing technology called fluid processing. Fluid processing makes even simple Windows and Linux servers perform like high-end systems, increasing their speed and efficiency.

While the continually reprogrammable coprocessor will eventually accelerate a range of functions on demand without human intervention, the first real-world application that Nuron has developed for fluid processing is SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) The leading security protocol on the Internet. Developed by Netscape, SSL is widely used to do two things: to validate the identity of a Web site and to create an encrypted connection for sending credit card and other personal data.  encryption acceleration, processing 1,400 transactions per second In a very generic sense, the term Transactions Per Second refers to the number of atomic actions performed by certain entity per second. In a more restrictied view, the term is usually used by DBMS vendor and user community to refer to the number of database transactions performed . Nuron has identified and will soon be marketing the product for applications such as VPN (Virtual Private Network) A private network that is configured within a public network (a carrier's network or the Internet) in order to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks.  Acceleration, Voice Recognition, Database Querying and Video Streaming. And, in the near future, Nuron will make it possible for others to develop acceleration solutions that work with the Nuron AcB, expanding the market exponentially.
