The LibraENC integrates two MPEG-2 encoder engines and a multiplexer on a 27x27mm chip, and can be used in full-spec HD TVs as well as standard HD TVs (1440x1080i). It achieves a delay of less than 100ms when encoding HD TV signals. The company plans to produce 1 million units per year. The price will be 7,000 yen ($60.30) per unit in lots of 100,000 units. The LibraENC will be displayed at CEATEC CEATEC Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (Technology and Electronics Exhibition, Japan) 2006 to be held at the Makuhari Messe Makuhari Messe (幕張メッセ| International Convention Complex in Chiba from October 3 to 7.
