NTRS Part of NRPA.How enriching to see the article about the branch of NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association NRPA Natural Resources Protective Association (Staten Island, NY) NRPA Niagara Regional Police Association (Canada) NRPA National Rifle and Pistol Association to which I belong, the National Therapeutic Recreation Society (NTRS NTRS NASA Technical Report Server NTRS National Therapeutic Recreation Society NTRS National Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors NTRS National Technology Readiness Survey ), in the October issue of Parks & Recreation (page 79). Therapeutic recreation has a long history in the community, where our members serve those who have disabilities. As our service has always been outcome-oriented, we have been pleased to see our colleagues in parks and recreation address outcomes in their own work. Diabetes, obesity obesity, condition resulting from excessive storage of fat in the body. Obesity has been defined as a weight more than 20% above what is considered normal according to standard age, height, and weight tables, or by a complex formula known as the body mass index. and aging are certainly issues we have discussed for decades. Within NRPA, it has been great to see the members of NTRS, who tend to be very process-oriented at work, help NRPA. Whether discussing governance, increasing sensitivity of members or improving awareness of marginalized populations, NTRS members have been there for NRPA.
