:NTN), producer of the NTN Network(R), the world's largest out-of-home interactive television network, today announced that Imagination Entertainment of Australia, a gaming entertainment company, has entered into a licensing and advertising relationship to develop Australia's number one selling board game `Battle of the Sexes' into an NTN Network interactive TV game to be played in more than 3,100 hospitality locations nationwide.

Imagination Entertainment's U.S. distributors, University Games, initially approached NTN in 2000 to develop an alternative marketing campaign designed to educate consumers about the `Battle of the Sexes' product. The preliminary campaign, using Advergaming(TM) elements in key test markets, resulted in an 80% sales increase for `Battle of the Sexes' in those markets, and retailers struggled to keep the game on the shelves. NTN's Advergaming integrates an advertiser's product brand essence or experience into interactive advertisements.

"With advertising clutter at an all time high, marketers globally are realizing that dollars spent on a static ad buy could be better utilized with a cost-effective medium that can attract a consumer's attention and retain it for a longer period of time," said Mark deGorter, President and COO of the NTN Network. The NTN Network will provide Imagination Entertainment with integrated marketing, advertising, and media functions to NTN Network locations nationwide. The extensive marketing program includes: integrated branding on all point-of-sale materials; co-branded promotional spots generating millions of gross impressions a week; immediate on-premise survey polling and results with NTN's hallmark hallmark, mark impressed on silverwork or goldwork to signify official approval of the standard of purity of the metal, also called plate mark. The NTN Network version of the `Battle of the Sexes' game is currently in development and set to debut in Fall 2002. Based on the success of the initial campaign, both companies have tentative plans to integrate the game into NTN's popular line-up of trivia entertainment.
