NSM Jukebox Partners With Canon to Provide a High-Capacity Digital Filing Cabinet for the Canon CD 4046.

NSM Jukebox A storage device for multiple sets of CD-ROMs, DVDs, tape cartridges or disk modules. Using carousels, robot arms and other methods, a jukebox physically moves the storage medium from its assigned location to an optical or magnetic station for reading and writing. , worldwide leader in archival storage systems, and Canon U.S.A, Inc., an industry leader in professional and consumer imaging equipment and information systems, have partnered to provide a secure, turn-key digital document management and imaging archival solution. With storage capacity of up to 150 CDs and concurrent read/write access for multiple users across the most demanding network, NSM's Mercury 31 will now serve as the Digital Filing Cabinet for the Canon CD 4046, a document management solution designed to feed and digitally scan up to 39 documents per minute onto CD-Recordable discs.

Canon selected the NSM Mercury 31 combined with Smart Storage's SmartCD, a powerful network-based software facilitating seamless access and recording capabilities, to create a turn-key Digital Filing Cabinet for the users of the CD 4046 Digital Document Recorder. This powerful hardware/software combination was tested by Canon and delivered the highest-performance imaging and archival storage solution available.
