NRPA partner USTA commits millions to tennis.

USTA United States Trademark Association
 announced that it would invest $1.5 million in new funding to support public tennis facility renovations through the "Tennis in the Parks" initiative, a partnership program with NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association
NRPA Natural Resources Protective Association (Staten Island, NY)
NRPA Niagara Regional Police Association (Canada)
NRPA National Rifle and Pistol Association
. This follows USTA's support of tennis programming through the "Grow the Game" campaign.

In this initiative, USTA will provide grants that will be matched at the local level, providing much-needed support to more than 1,000 public facilities. Seventy percent of recreational tennis is played on public courts.

"We are committed to enhancing and building more public tennis facilities in communities around the country," said Kurt Kamperman, chief executive, Community Tennis, USTA. "Assisting in the development process of providing usable USable is a special idea contest to transfer US American ideas into practice in Germany. USable is initiated by the German Körber-Stiftung (foundation Körber). It is doted with 150,000 Euro and awarded every two years.  tennis venues will enable more people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to play and enjoy the health and social benefits of our great game."
