NRPA members join prestigious academy.One of the most esteemed organizations in the park and recreation industry, the American Academy The American Academy in Berlin is a non-partisan academic institution in Berlin. It was founded in September 1994 by a group of prominent Americans and Germans, among them Richard Holbrooke, Henry Kissinger, Richard von Weizsäcker, Fritz Stern and Otto Graf Lambsdorff and opened in for Park and Recreation Administration was created in 1980 to advance the practices of park and recreation administration. Only 125 practicing professionals nationwide are allowed in the organization. To gain entrance, members must serve at least 15 years in high-level park and recreation administration, demonstrate leadership and have a desire to contribute to the advancement of parks through the Academy. Twenty-one NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association NRPA Natural Resources Protective Association (Staten Island, NY) NRPA Niagara Regional Police Association (Canada) NRPA National Rifle and Pistol Association members joined the academy for 2004.
