NRPA/AALR make the grade. (Tip-Off).


The Council for Higher Education Accreditation Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is a United States organization of degree-granting colleges and universities. Its purposes include providing national advocacy for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation and providing scrutiny and certification of  recently recognized the National Recreation and Park Association/American Association for Leisure and Recreation Council on Accreditation for baccalaureate programs in recreation, park resources and leisure studies. The recognition is valid for 10 years.

 accredits 100 institutes of higher learning in North America for their park, recreation or leisure studies programs. These standards help to extend the industry's body of knowledge and worldwide recognition. For a listing of accredited accredited

recognition by an appropriate authority that the performance of a particular institution has satisfied a prestated set of criteria.
