The Court's permanent seat is Islamabad. , the former Amir JI appealed to SC not to accept any influence from the government as CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary and the current judiciary was restored due to struggle of people of the country. The former Amir said JI the government cannot defend the ordinance and the NRO beneficiaries have no right to stay in the power and action should be taken against those who plundered country's money. He urged that the Supreme Court should not prolong the case, as it would complicate it. Strongly condemning recent wave of terrorism, Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that no one can kill innocent people for Shariat. Responding to a question regarding missing people, the former Amir JI said that missing of even 1 person is against country's prestige, adding the loved ones of missing people do not know their whereabouts.
