NRDC always busy with Wal-Mart stores.Wal-Mart recently celebrated its grand opening at National Realty & Development Corp.'s (NRDC NRDC - National Realty & Development Corp. NRDC - National Research and Development Centre (Institute of Education, London) NRDC - National Research and Development Corporation (UK) NRDC - National Research and Development Council NRDC - NATO Rapid Deployable Corps NRDC - Natural Resources Defense Council) Whitehouse Station located at the Intersection of Highway 22 and Island Road in Hunterdon County, NJ. The 119,040 s/f Wal-Mart store is located in a redevelopment of the former Laneco Supermarket. Wal-Mart currently operates 31 Wal-Mart discount stores in New Jersey of which eight are located in shopping centers owned and managed by NRDC. Currently under construction by NRDC in Rockaway, NJ, is another Wal-Mart anchored shopping center scheduled to open in February 2005. Also under construction are expansions of existing Wal-Mart stores in NRDC's portfolio to supercenters. NRDC also has seven additional projects planned for the next two years that collectively will add more than 2.2 million square feet to its 14 million square foot retail portfolio. Construction has begun or is scheduled to commence by early summer on most of the projects, which include the Target anchored 242,000 s/f Hadley Shopping Center II located in South Plainfield South Plainfield, borough (1990 pop. 20,489), Middlesex co., NE N.J.; inc. 1926. It is the seat of several research and consulting firms and has plants that make a variety of goods. Chemicals, electrical machinery, structural steel, and toys are among the borough's manufactures., NJ; the 110,000 s/f Commons in Phillipsburg Phillipsburg, town (1990 pop. 15,757), Warren co., NW N.J., on the Delaware River opposite Easton, Pa.; settled 1739, inc. 1861. It is a railroad and industrial center in a farm area. Iron and steelworks once dominated the economy; manufactures now include electroplated parts and wire, metal pipes, and chemicals., NJ. |
