NRDC always busy with Wal-Mart stores.

Wal-Mart recently celebrated its grand opening at National Realty & Development Corp.'s (NRDC) Whitehouse Station located at the Intersection of Highway 22 and Island Road in Hunterdon County, NJ.

The 119,040 s/f Wal-Mart store is located in a redevelopment of the former Laneco Supermarket. Wal-Mart currently operates 31 Wal-Mart discount stores in New Jersey of which eight are located in shopping centers owned and managed by NRDC.

Currently under construction by NRDC in Rockaway, NJ, is another Wal-Mart anchored shopping center scheduled to open in February 2005.

Also under construction are expansions of existing Wal-Mart stores in NRDC's portfolio to supercenters.

NRDC also has seven additional projects planned for the next two years that collectively will add more than 2.2 million square feet to its 14 million square foot retail portfolio.

Construction has begun or is scheduled to commence by early summer on most of the projects, which include the Target anchored 242,000 s/f Hadley Shopping Center II located in South Plainfield, NJ; the 110,000 s/f Commons in Phillipsburg, NJ.
