NPCA/FSCT to host international marine coatings conference.

On May 18-20, 2009, NPCA/FSCT will sponsor the "International Marine and Offshore Coatings Conference" at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Virginia Beach, resort city (1990 pop. 393,069), independent and in no county, SE Va., on the Atlantic coast; inc. 1906. In 1963, Princess Anne co. and the former small town of Virginia Beach were merged, giving the present city an area of 302 sq mi (782 sq km). , in Virginia Beach, VA.

Offered as part of the Advancements in Coatings Series (ACSeries), this conference combines timely information on state-of-the-art marine coatings technologies with a focus on practical application and commercialization.

The three-day program will provide a comprehensive learning and networking opportunity for those who must stay abreast of the latest technology developments and apply them throughout the value chain of marine coatings, from basic and applied research to raw material development, to product manufacture, application, and maintenance.

The goal of the conference is to maximize the exchange of ideas and information on technical advances and their practical applications, as well as facilitate interaction among the diverse marine coatings professionals and academic personnel.

Additional networking opportunities will be provided by tabletop exhibits, welcome reception, lunches, and a conference dinner.
