NOVEL PUZZLE MAKES GREAT STOCKING STUFFER

NOVEL PUZZLE MAKES GREAT STOCKING STUFFER
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- When people see a

Fun-Turns(TM) sticking out of their stockings on Christmas morning, they may think they're seeing a can of soda pop. What they're really seeing is a high-tech puzzle that will bring them hours of enjoyment. It's expected to be both a hot gift idea and a great, last-minute stocking stuffer selection.
Three models of Fun-Turns do look like famous beverage cans, while others have "Neon Rainbows" stripes around them. All Fun-Turns are built on a cylindrical frame with 49 sliding squares and one hole. The squares move up and down and around the frame. Once the squares are scrambled, the objective is to put them back in their original order.
The American Team of Companies, Mount Clemens, produces the molded plastic, precisely engineered Fun-Turns. Company president, Karl Blankenburg, said, "It's possible for an 8-year-old to solve the Neon Rainbows puzzle, but the beverage cans present a significant challenge to anyone."
Fun-Turns have been named the "1993 Puzzle of the Year" by Fun and Games magazine. They are distributed nationally, and can be found in gift shops, major chain department stores, many drugstores and a limited number of mail order catalogs. The suggested retail price is $15.
With five models currently available, and more on their way, it's possible to have a different puzzle for each member of the family. And they easily fit in a good-sized stocking.
Fun-Turns are manufactured by A.M.P. Industries and distributed by American Molded Products. Both are divisions of The American Team of Companies, 42050 Executive Drive, Mount Clemens, MI 48045-3488, telephone, 313-469-4100.
