Computer developer and publisher NovaLogic, Calabasas, Calif., has won two "Game of the Year 2000" awards from the The Wargamer, which is dedicated to PC-based strategy, history and military simulation games.

Delta Force(R): Land Warrior(TM), a first-person squad-based shooter won "Best Action Game 2000" and Tachyon(TM): The Fringe(TM), a space combat game featuring the voice work of Bruce Campbell, won for "Best Simulation Game 2000." The entire Wargamer staff judged nearly three dozen games and a handful of the top gaming peripherals before bestowing the honors.

"Each of the Year 2000 Award winners represents the very best efforts in computer-based gaming for the year," said site publisher Mario Kroll, who also serves as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for The Wargamer.

"We are very excited to pass on these accolades to very deserving developers and publishers, and hope that they continue to raise the bar of what it means to make a truly great game," said Kroll.

"We are gratified and honored to receive this recognition," said David Seeholzer, vice president of development for NovaLogic. "Our team is dedicated to creating quality games that are immersive and fun to play, and we're gearing up for a great 2001."
